About John
John Ricco, a fourth-generation New Yorker, was born and raised in Greenpoint, Brooklyn. A lifelong entrepreneur, he specializes in commercial and residential transactions across Brooklyn, Long Island, and the Hudson Valley. With seven years of industry experience, John has built a reputation as a tough negotiator. As a former senior producer at Keller Williams, he was recognized as Keller Williams Realty’s Top Individual Agent for the Brooklyn office in 2022, 2023, and 2024. Over the course of his career, he has sourced and sold $65,000,000 million in real estate while cultivating strong relationships with developers, builders, and landlords.
John is particularly passionate about helping homeowners and landlords navigate the sale of long-held family properties, especially in neighborhoods undergoing gentrification. He takes pride in guiding clients through this emotional process, blending traditional values with a modern brokerage approach—an experience he finds both fruitful and rewarding.
Before transitioning to real estate, John built a successful career as a registered representative at Bear Stearns in Manhattan. Seeking a more hands-on path, he pivoted to the restaurant industry in 2008, founding Grandma Rose’s in prime Williamsburg. The restaurant was an instant hit, quickly becoming one of North Brooklyn’s top-grossing eateries on Seamless Web. He gained recognition for his signature fried eggplant balls, Grandma square and many unique specialty pizzas. John's thick hand-cut French Fry Casseroles were awarded Top 3 French Fries in New York by the NY Daily News in 2011. His culinary success also led to a feature on the Food Network’s Fat Chef and multiple local television appearances.
John credits his dynamic background as the driving force behind his adaptability and success in real estate, allowing him to connect with clients from all walks of life. He is extremely devoted to his wife and three children and remains passionate about cooking, his faith, and spending quality time with family.
